Your first tourist destination in Thimphu is the National Memorial Chorten, which was built in 1974 in memory of Bhutan’s third king Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. And then see the largest statue of Buddha in Kuensel Phodrang before walking around in a local craft bazaar.
